Our last day aboard Queen Anne was all about relaxing and making the most of the the final moments of our cruise. After a late night, we had a bit of a lie in and decided to skip breakfast, we definitely weren’t short on food this week! We had a gentle wander around the ship to clear our heads and enjoy the sea air.
Lunch and Last Minute Shopping
We headed to the Britannia Restaurant for lunch and were seated straight away. We both started with buffalo chicken wings which we enjoyed. For main Laura had lamb rogan josh, Lizzy went for the lasagna, and we shared the fish tacos out of curiosity (they were a bit like fish fingers in a taco shell, so not great!). Laura also had a raspberry ripple ice cream to finish.
With a bit of onboard credit left, we headed to the shops where Lizzy finally gave in and got the Cunard corgi soft toy she’d been tempted by all week. Stock was quite limited in the shops by this point so we ended up with a bottle of Queen Anne gin to spend our last but of on board credit.
We wandered into the Queen’s Room to watch a jive dance class, which was full of energy and fun to watch. Then we headed up to the Commodore Club which is one of our favourite spots on the ship. While we were in there we were luck enough to see dolphins and lots of them which was a really special sea day moment.
Trying out Tramonto
For our final dinner, we’d booked Tramonto. It’s a Mediterranean style speciality restaurant located at the end of the Artisans Food Hall. Laura had fritto misto and sea bream, both beautifully presented and full of flavour. Lizzy went for veal polpetti and lamb, which were also really tasty. We shared some polenta chips and two salads. For dessert, Lizzy had her usual cheese and biscuits, while Laura had a doughnut with pistachio ice cream.
Bright Lights Society Take Two
We ended the night at the Bright Lights Society to see Fizz and it was also the final show for three cast members. It was emotional and the performances were great, though we still slightly preferred Noir. Afterwards, we popped into the Queen’s Room for the silent disco, which as usual wasn’t all that silent but great fun and it was a good spot to say our goodbys to some of the people we'd met on the cruise.
We weren't quite ready to call it a night so a group of us headed up to the Commodore Club for one last drink. There was live music and the performance of Time to Say Goodbye nearly set us both off. We wrapped up the evening back at Bright Lights for a final nightcap before bed around 1am.
Disembarkation
The only real downside of the day was the suitcases piling up in the lift areas because the service lifts aren't big enough to move them. It made the ship look messy and It was also impossible to get a lift for most of our final evening which would definitely cause issues for for anyone with mobility issues.
Disembarkation itself was smooth. We basically made it straight out of our cabin and off the ship with barely any wait time as everything was running early.
