ABOUT US
Welcome to Sisters on the Seas
We are sisters, Lizzy and Laura, who discovered a love for cruising in 2012. Laura works in recruitment and Lizzy is a primary school teacher so our travels are restricted to weekends and school holidays. When we're not on a ship you'll probably find us at a football match, but not the same one! We're both big football fans and are season ticket holders on opposite sides of Birmingham.
In 2007, the two of us travelled together alone for the first time on a city break to Krakow. We made a pact on that trip that we would go on a holiday together every year and holidays to Cuba, Mexico, USA and Dominican Republic followed. In 2012 we visited Thomas Cook to book our holiday for that summer. We spent ages trying to decide what to book when finally our travel agent suggested a cruise. There were some nerves from Lizzy as she isn't too keen on water but we went for it and booked a 14 night Mediterranean cruise onboard Grand Princess. We had the most amazing two weeks and have been hooked ever since.
Our First Cruise
In 2012 we went on our first cruise onboard Grand Princess and we loved our 14 nights cruising the Mediterranean. We visited places we had never considered visiting before and places that we’d always wanted to visit. We’ve never been fans of lying by a pool sunbathing and always spend time exploring. We found a cruise gave us a perfect balance of busy days in ports, relaxing sea days and great entertainment. We've never looked back and have been cruising several times a year ever since.
